If everything in the house is wireless, you should consider an upgrade to a newer router. You should at least consider N speed and if you want latest AC speed router. There is no point in paying for high speed VM broadband then being limited by a slower router EDIT: PS buy yourself a short cat5e/6 patch cable, it will improve link speed rather than one wound up with a rubber band
