Project Fit A Router

    Below in sequential order are pictures showing the fitting of a router in cupboard under t'stairs

    If you painted the edge of the shelf white it would look like the router was floating in mid air!

    That looks like the old NTL (now Virgin Media) router?

    Get them to to replace it, then you will only need the one,

    Not the best place to put a wireless router under the stairs or near a TV amplifier

    If everything in the house is wireless, you should consider an upgrade to a newer router. You should at least consider N speed and if you want latest AC speed router.
    There is no point in paying for high speed VM broadband then being limited by a slower router

    EDIT: PS buy yourself a short cat5e/6 patch cable, it will improve link speed rather than one wound up with a rubber band

    You can buy 2ocm or 50cm Cat 5 or Cat 6 patch leads.:)

  10. That's no ordinary shelf. And when he gets around to lipping that exposed edge, it'll be perfection... :oops:

    If this thread keeps on going the shelf will need its own Facebook page or maybe should have its own webcam feed. May be that should be another thread
