Question about making wardrobes look more fitted

Hey all,

Have learnt a lot through this forum, so thank you for that! first time asking a question ....

I'm putting an Ikea PAX wardrobe in our bedroom. In order to make it look more like a fitted wardrobe, I plan to make a surround and place it on a 3x2 frame. Normally a wardrobe would be placed on a finished floor? We have bare floorboards which have been taken up for electrics/heating infrastructure, so there is an air gap between the boards, into the suspended floor (1st floor). Having had mould grow behind a wardrobe at a previous house, I'm worried that we'll face the same problem. I've painted the wall and ceiling with anti-mould paint (no idea if this actually does anything) and I plan to allow an air gap around the entire wardrobe (see attached image to see what it all looks like). The back of the wardrobe will face is an outside, south facing wall an external wall. With another external wall on the left, and and internal wall on the right.

Wardrobe-Plan.jpg Should I put anything on the floorboards before I build the frame for the wardrobe to sit on? (to stop any potential moist air/condensation getting into the floor void?) something like a Vapour control layer? Or fill in the gaps between each board? Or can I just build the timber frame directly onto the floorboards and not worry about it as there will be ventilation around the entire wardrobe? Sorry for what might appear to be a silly question, just want to avoid making a fundamental error!

Many thanks in advance

Looks like I can't edit the post anymore, so apologies for typos! The back of the wardrobe will face is an external south facing wall, with another external wall on the left *

If I should fill in the void between the floorboards where they have been cut, should I also fill the gap underneath the skirting? Thank you!

Don't worry about mould or vapour barriers, just build the side panels flush with the wall and leave a gap at the back and top for ventilation.

Hey, I am someone in need of this resource. Do you perhaps have any output for this? My fitted wardrobe situation would thank you!
