Hi, I drained all the water from our radiators to fix a leaking valve on our downstairs radiator. Once this was fixed and leak was stopped, we filled the water from the combo boiler and all but the radiator that had the issue is working now. The radiator heats slightly from the bottom but not fully, the pipes attached to the radiator heat up properly and feel like the water is hot and working but after a day of waiting the radiator still isn’t fully working. Bled the radiator and removed all the air and still no joy. Any help please would be greatly appreciated

Did you close the valves on the other radiators before draining the system? If so, and you have now opened them all up fully then there's a high chance that you've unbalanced the system. You will need to partially close the lock shields on the radiators that do get hot to push more heat to the rad's that don't get so hot.

If not, then you may have an air lock in the rad that needs pushing through.

Turn off the valves on all of the other radiators and then turn the heating on. All of the boiler pressure should now be concentrated on that single radiator and push any air lock through.

Count the number of turns required to close each lockshield and open them by the same amount after to retain system balance.

Before undergoing the above, bleed this radiator again, but through each valve. Close the return valve and bleed a litre or two through, then close flow valve and open the return and bleed another litre or two through. If you get some spluttering with either valve, you will have found an air lock.

Will try turning off all other radiators first then hopefully this will fix issue.
    Thanks

So tried the above and turned off all the rads apart from the issue rad. Started to heat but didn’t get all the way. Looked at boiler and noticed boiler pressure was at 0. Filled rad up again and started boiler. Bled all the rads as well as issue rad and then turned on boiler. Think this may have sorted the issue now as the rad is heating and looks like it’s working properly. Bled the issue rad again and this seems to have worked.
    Many thanks all
