Hello everyone! Looking for some advice

I am laying sleepers in my garden 200mmx100mm to create a boarder between my garden and garden bed on either side of the garden.

I have the sleepers and plan to bolt them together using a screw plate. In regards to laying them in the floor what do you think would be the best base. I’ve read online and the main options seem to be gravel, sand or concrete. Anyone had any experience with what would last longest in regards to water drainage and what is easiest to do.

Also if I uses concrete do I concrete the entire length I’m laying the sleeper in or just in blobs in order to create a gap between the soil and the sleeper. Would postcrete do the job?

    thanks in advance
