In the last hr of a long day today I had to crimp quite a few wires.

Feelin tired I could feel the strain on my tendons as I clenched the crimper. Only using red uns too!

So can anyone recommend a crimpler that can do reds, blues an yellows that is ergonomic and easy to pull??

Dont mind paying a few extra squids if it makes crimping a pleasure (again!?)....

What you need's an apprentice if the carpal tunnels are getting tired.

Acca's will be wanting to move on soon, and I'm sure an offer of £25 a day will make him want to jump ship ;)

cut 2 lengths of 25mm conduit about 2ft long, hammer them on to each handle of your crimpers, gives you the long handle you need to help with your moments

    cheers

Nice one Silly. That'll do it.

Do you know where I can get a 3ft toolbag from. Like the CK ones?? Or maybe I could cut a hole in the present bag to accommodate the carpal saving device.

I had to crimp quite a few wires.

To crimp one wire may be regareded as a misfortune, but to crimp 'a few' sounds like carelessness.....

Barbarian dear, cast that same stone back again, if necessary, once you're familiar with the works of Oscar Wilde - then you'll realise the light-hearted manner of my post.

Witt or sarcasm though is a fine line tho Lady B. Easy to tread over, hard to walk along...

Many tools are now designed excellently. Easier to use, better thought out etc. There must be a something similiar in the world o crimps.

So far Sillys 'Viz top tip style' answer is the best! I will repost this tomora when you good folks are sober!

most electrical wholesale chains ( CEF , senate , WF etc) sell ratchet crimpers.
expect to pay £20-25 a set.
