The RCD hasn’t tripped for the sockets but the lights were tripped when we came in. There has been a leak in the bathroom above the utility and water has come through the ceiling. The electrician for the bathroom has installed a new cable for the shower and installed this into the RCD box. We have reset the RCD but still no power.
I would guess that the bathroom fitters or the builders have damaged a cable or disconnected something. You need an electrician to find out what is wrong and if it is caused by the work being done, you can charge the company responsible.
Can you post more photos further away showing all the boxes next to consumer unit that switch is not rcd but the main switch to turn the house off. Also even tho they haven't tripped turn off all the MCB,s and turn them back on one by one the power might come back on..
Maybe when Maybe a cable has been dislodged in your consumer unit whem the shower cable was put in or could be a faulty mcb power not going through to the load side sometimes Turing it off and on a few times can reinstate it
