We recently moved into a house and the vinyl floor is shot. At the moment we're doing other rooms but in the meantime I want to clean and re-seal the floor.

We've tried all the usual, Flash, Baking Powder, Bleach etc.. and while it's better it still isn't 100% clean. It isn't like normal house vinyl flooring, this is like hospital flooring and it is an ex-housing association house so perhaps used on all their buildings. It's dirty and dull.

How do I strip it chemically so I can re-seal it to a glossy finish that will keep us going a few years? Can anyone give me some products I can look at that'll do the job?

    thank you sincerely. Li.

Steam floor cleaning, sugar soap diluted in hot water.
