I need to buy a new socket cover anyway, am kinda new to a lot of DIY

When buy a new cover, do they come with screws, I seem to not have any for the old one that I can use.

(Been lost) while doing so much about the house

They should do, usually they are found fixed to the inside of the cover.

Yes, new socket faceplate will come with screws most certainly, either in a little bag within socket packaging or held behind socket by plastic moulding

These faceplate screws do come in various lengths but if back box in wall is flush with wall surface, (or more or less), supplied screws will be fine

If back box is recessed deep inside the wall, or you have two layers of tiles over the wall (as an example, then you will need longer faceplate screws, 40/50mm or longer available

Can also get extension studs that screw to lugs on back box and then faceplate screws fix to these - again only needed if box is deep inside wall

Hopefully yours is a straight forward swap so the answer is yes :) screws will be supplied !
