    Hi all.
I have just had my bathroom rewired including the fitting of several recessed LED lights. I now want to put some boards in my loft where the lights come through.

My questing is is it ok to board straight over these? The joists are 4", with the back of the lights protruding around 2", so boarding over them would still leave a clear 2" space.

    Thanks.

  2. Almost certainly ok since LED lamps tend to become 'warm' at most, and nothing like the temps of halogens.

No insulation packed over the lamps?

That's correct, no insulation over them and an insulation clear space around them.

    No problem at all then!

If there's a junction box up there form a hatch to give access I just love ripping up floored lofts looking for them

Yep. The more remote and difficult to get to the more I love 'em.
