Needed as temporary measure - the stick-on flashing around the bottom of a timber wall has come unstuck and rain is getting in. As a temp measure, is there any filling-adhesive that can be used to reattach, that will adhere to the damp timber boarding? StixAll works 'underwater' apparently, but will it actually stick to damp shiplap? Cheers. (It's not my hoosie, so giving 'distant' advice to victim - so I cannot check it for myself either...)
It can be, as it can be applied in the rain,so surface would be wet! And it's in their spec sheet, if you read it... https://www.everbuild.co.uk/product/stixall/ ▪ Incredible initial grab, no slip & gap filling properties. ▪ High bonding strength. ▪ Interior and exterior use. ▪ Can be applied to wet surfaces. ▪ Totally waterproof & weatherproof. ▪ Quick curing. Overpaintable if required (with water based paints - test an inconspicuous area before use). ▪ ▪ Solvent free. ▪ Resistant to temperature extremes -40°C to +100°C. Resistant to chemicals & petrol (10% dilute acids/alkalis, most solvents). ▪ ▪ Excellent resistance to UV radiation. ▪ Shrinkage < 2%. Excellent primerless adhesion to most surfaces, including metals, most plastics, glass, concrete, plaster, plasterboard, polyester, perspex, glass, wood, enamel, painted surfaces etc.
You mean StixAll? What about 'Sticks like S***'? Is that an equivalent. (The guy has a SF near him - but they don't stock StixAll). Cheers.
'Sticks like S***' will also stick to wet surfaces, never used it,so no experience of it,as I'm a Stix All fan.
Used sticks like S H it underwater last week...............still is underwater and still is sticking like Sh I t
