Hi, Does any one know where I can get a router cutter to suit reddiseals centrally legged pile carrier? Reddi seals are out of stock until mid June! Cheers.
Wealden tools. But expect to pay around £40, not the £7 cheap specials that reddiseals were knocking out. I've got one on back order with reddiseals, but was forced to buy the wealden cutter as was in the same position as you. It's much better steel, obviously you get what you pay for....but for old sashes I like to use cheap cutters, as you're always guaranteed to hit old nails and panel pins from previous chippies botches....
Just out of interest, how do you find reddiseals delivery service ? They use Aspreys as a courier for South London, and they seem to specialise in special needs drivers. Seriously, as heartless as that sounds, the last bloke would have had a problem finding his own c&*k.....
A tip I use is to push a small noble earth magnet over the rail first, you can feel the resistance if there is a nail, it's saved me a fortune.
That sounds like a good tip to me 244..... Trouble is, I keep thinking I'm a Jedi and can detect nails by 'using the force luke'.........clearly I'm not of such noble stock.....
Stick the magnet to the slot cutter and it reminds you to use it. You can buy the magnets off eBay very cheaply.
