I recently got some white gloss paint on a grey upvc door. I thought I'd removed it all, but in this bright sunshine you can see a big white smear.

Any ideas how might I remove this?
    Thanks in advance.

Upvc solvent cleaner but go steady with it. Can damage surface but what the window fitters use to wipe over. Micro fibre cloth will help to. Available from lots of places Wickes. Screwfix ect

Water based or solvent based gloss ?

Whatever you use to clean with, work it in with a nail brush, rinse and repeat, again with nail brush (or similiar)

Trouble is the paint is trapped in the plastic ‘wood’ grain so need to tease it out with bristle brush

    Good luck

    Solvent based.
Good advice about the nail brush. All fingers are crossed.

If using a chemical/solvent type cleaner, check first door construction

Some coloured upvc is a solid colour all way through upvc, some is foil wrapped and others are a sprayed finish

If you know supplier/manufacturer, maybe check with them. Solvent based gloss is clearly gonna be difficult to remove without damaging door finish
