Need to repair sagging brick soldier course (outer skin of cavity wall construction) above 2m span window.

Know I can use Acro props to stablise brickwork above before cutting out triangular section of failed brickwork.

Is there an alternative method using a length of steel plate and steel pins/needles, fixed along a section of brickwork 10 courses or so (top of the failed triangle) above window, supported by the brick piers either side of window?

Why would I want to do this? I've got an issue with supporting the bottom of the Acro props.

What about Strongboys above and below the window so the Acro props aren't in contact with the ground?
