Repairing Cracks in External Rough Concrete Render

Hi All

We have a house built around 2015 which has concrete render painted in what looks like magnolia we will be painting the whole house but have a few cracks to repair.

I am a bit lost as to what to use most renders I look at are smooth any ideas what’s best to use?

I will be cutting out V’s along the cracks and using backing rods such as https://www.makewoodgood.co.uk/product/backer-rod/ to fill the gap before filling then painting.

Suggestions please.

 

An update it’s actually textured paint on concrete render so should be ok with a lime cement sand mix just not sure on the textured paint
