    Hi trusty Screwfix forum!

Am trying to repair a section fo the wall where paint has come away from the plaster....see pics.

Any advice on best way to do this that is low VOC? It's next to a bed in he bedroom.

    Many thanks!

Identify and rectify the source of the damp first.

It looks like its damp alright, what's in that area? Pipes etc. Is it an internal or external wall? Is it just that patch? It could be th lighting but the wall looks darker above the skirting on the right of the pic too?

Thanks. It's an internal wall between two terraced houses...it's just that patch in this room, but there are sections of the same wall between houses in another room where paint is also loose / chipping away and a delicate fluffy white powder builds up.

Have you checked / asked what it's like on the opposite side of the wall?
    Any localised pipes / steels?
    Upstairs or downstairs?

If no obvious cold spots / leaks, I have seen it where the salts (even from some decorators fillers) that are hygroscopic (like salt attracts water and never dries out).
