My existing boiler's soldered copper overflow pipe is in the way and obstructs access to the magnaclean and under the boiler. I want to reroute the overflow pipe to go behind the boiler. Here is a photo of the existing overflow pipe with the new route annotated: https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZNqWXZ16aXvPr2I8ujwgareyqGF89hFJ9X.

Can I replace the existing overflow pipe with:
    1) hep2o plastic overflow pipe
    2) copper with compression fittings

Can I do 1) or 2) or both?

    Advice please

    1. No, not plastic pipe. If there is a discharge the water temperature can exceed that allowed for plastic.
    2. Yes, copper with compression. Don't forget compression fittings are relatively bulky so won't be easy to fit. Mind you, so are plastic fittings.
