    Hi

Apologies in advance for yet another Nest installation thread.

I currently have a Valiant eco tech R28 combo boiler that has a very old Drayton ACL lifestyle programmer that I want to replace with a shiny new Nest thermostat.

The current programmer has feeds into live, neutral, common and on (doesn’t specify wether this is Central heating or hot water but I’m assuming it’s central heating as I don’t have a water storage tank).

My questions I’m hoping someone can help me with are:

    1) Is it fair to assume that the feeds for common and on are central heating only?

    2) Do I simply set these wires up like for like into the Nest heat link (current common feed into common feed number 2 on nest and on into call for heating feed number 3 on nest)?

    3) Do I need to have a wire from live to the call for heating feed on the nest heat link?

    4) Do I just leave the water feeds on the Nest hive link empty)?

    Thanks in advance.

    hi
looking at your picture, it's wired for timed heating on and off, hot water constant, (no control from programmer)

would need to see nest diagram to understand the other questions

    good luck

    Thanks Peter.

Sure, here’s the two Nest diagrams, I think I need the dry contact one?
