    Hi,

I'm trying to work out the best way to build the subframe of my decking. Becuase of the pebble dash on my house sitting 30mm proud of the brick I can't attach the ledger board where I would prefer but if I was to drop the ledger board down 140mm and sit my joists on top with a notch taken out to go around the render then it would work.

I'm just wondering if this would be acceptable? if it is would it be ok to just put a coach screw at an angle for each side of the joist into the ledger board to hold it in place?

I can't seem to find anywere locally that sells hurricane ties.
