    Hi
We have American oak skirting boards and window sills. They were originally treated with a clear varnish and then with Antiquax. 10 years later the colour is less prominent due to time, sunlight etc. Should I simply rewax and if so is there a recommendation as to how this should be done. Many thanks - Bill

Sunlight fading may be an issue, use a good quality wax like Briwax Antique Brown which isn't as dark as it sounds, apply then wax using 0000 wire wool in the direction of the timber grain let dry and buff off using a soft shoe brush the finish with a rub over with a soft duster. For a higher sheen do this twice. ;)
