    Hi,

We recently had a brand new heating system installed in our house.

However, when the heating's on - the whole system quietly 'roars' - it's a relief when it turns off at 21:00!

    What could be causing this?
There are no other sounds that are mentioned online like creaking, knocking gurgling, just this constant gentle roar...we've never experienced it before and lived in plenty of rentals with CH.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Maybe the circulator is set to high and its the velocity of the water that you can hear

I noticed something similar when I balanced my system recently. I put it down to a change in the flow rate through some of the radiators after I had gagged the lock shield valves in a bit. Might be worth experimenting with some minor adjustments to the valves. Not too much of an adjustment, if it is working well you don't want to end up with a system that is out of balance.
