Hi, due to the huge increase in wood prices we have installed some internal stud walls on our self build in metal stud but wondered if cables need to be run through metal studs in conduit or bushing grommets to prevent damage to cables, if so any advice on best type to use. Thanks

Use a bush and lock nut.

They come in different sizes depending on what size cable your using, 20mm, 25mm etc.
And remember to keep your cables in the correct zones.

Thanks, are the Bush and locknut for when you drill your own 20, 25mm holes? I was hoping to utilise the large rectangular holes that are already in the studs. Have seen bushings for these large stud holes but all seem to be in US. I have about 200 studs so would rather use existing holes than drill new ones if I can. Thanks in advance.

Oh ok you could use some grommit strip, but get a decent one if you get the real cheap one it keeps comimg off which drives you mad.

OK thanks, and is that acceptable for building control?

A bit of super glue on the grommet strip can help as well to hold it in place.

You would be drilling holes in 200 timber studs ;)
