Sorry people but dont understand why some are getting wound up by the silence. All this stuff about shopping elsewhere, closing account and so on, there must be other things to worry about.
Folks, ignore it, quietly report posts, it will go away. This whole thread is exactly what a troll wants.
But the point is that it won't, and it hasn't, Jim. This has been going on for years. Just Google 'Screwfix forum troll'.
The trolls are definitely winning when people start Google searching for previous troll episodes. It has obviously not occurred to some people that maybe the authorities are getting more and more evidence and that's why it looks like they aren't doing anything about it.
Sorry fella, but when you have been here as long as we have you will learn that they only comment when they need to, but that doesn't mean they are not watching and considering.
Not at all, mate. As a relative newcomer to the forum, I was just wondering if this was a new phenomenon or an old one. I'd been here a fair while before Mr. T put in an appearance.
Spot on. Peter from Screwfix was viewing this thread at 3.53pm today. He's aware, no question. But we have to remember that he's an employee of a huge company. We have no idea what his limitations are, what his designated job description role consists of, or what constraints he's placed under in terms of what he posts - he is, after all, posting on behalf of the company, and posting as the company's online representative. I'm quite sure that on a personal level, he's just an ordinary bloke doing his job, and trying to do his best - just like all of us.
Best thing is to totally ignore the troll etc etc. Just get on with life. Let Screwfix worry about it all. Stop feeding the troll i say. Stop glorifying him.
I wonder what the tabloids would say about one of the UK's leading DIY/construction retailers allowing it's website to be used to display indecent images...
Post 14 of the thread on page 1, Bazza - he 'liked' the post made by justpumps. Click on the 'liker's' name ......
