Screwfix and the Troll

Sorry to disappoint, but I remember seeing he had liked that post yesterday. The 3:53 refers to the time he was last on the board.

I have a PM from him - several weeks back. Click on that and it shows 3:53 today too.

But we know he is watching te thread.

 

Fair play. But as I said earlier - he's almost certainly just an ordinary bloke like we all are. Needs to keep a roof over his head, fuel in the car, food on the table - all whilst toeing the line as a cog in a huge corporate wheel. Most probably has a wife and a family to look after. We don't know, because he maintains a dignified silence - and ultimately, it's none of our business. Screwfix are now a £2 BILLION turnover company (that's almost as much as I charge for fitting a Howdens kitchen) with almost 9,000 staff. Pretty impressive for an outfit whose head office is still housed in a B&Q shed on a council allotment in Yeovil.

And on that topic - I visualise Peter as the Yeovil-Screwfix-allotment-shed-corporate version of 'Jesse's Dinners' on the Fast Show. Here he is. His cover's well and truly blown.

It really stems from the lead up to the Brexit vote. At that time this entire forum was very toxic and to be honest, was not a nice place to be at all. Ban's and suspensions were being handed out on a daily basis and a lot of members just left the forum, never to return.
The trolling that we see now on the forum manifested itself from that time in my view. In fact it has been mentioned many a time that the troll is more than likely one of the members that was banned back then.
Bearing in mind how far back that was, Screwfix has had years to come to terms with this problem and has done nothing. Do i honestly think they will do anything ? No i don't, because if they wanted to they could easily have dealt with it years ago.
Corporate apathy along with a lack of consequences for the inaction means that this will carry on.

We do. If Screwfix didn't host this forum their prices could be reduced without affecting margins.

 

Yes. Everyones point is valid and free to air.
But yours is way off and wrong in the situation.

 

Dont need an accountant to work that out and be careful what you wish for there.
