I fitted a "pudding basin" whb a couple of weeks ago. The basin finish is small travertine squares grouted with epoxy grout. I wiped the sides of the waste hole with silicone sealant and then injected silicone sealant so that the gap between the waste and the basin was compleatly filled with silicone. I notice today that water is dripping through the stone. What am I doing wrong?

Dunno, but Travertine is a porous stone & some forms are more porous than others.

Could the Travertine itself be allowing water through?
It's also chemically similar to limestone, marble and limescale. Removing limescale marks could be interesting.
