Sealing VCL in timber summerhouse

Fit a nogging and a metal back box for the socket, fast fix boxes are a last resort. The cables at the top do not look in a zone.

The sparky is using high quality fast fix which I’m happy with. Retro fitting noggings would require cutting / slashing the VCL which I not prepared to do. I’m a DIYer so i’m learning as I go. I’ll maybe do it next time. The high cables are ethernet.

Do I seal the VCL at the bottom?

The sparky is lazy and not too proud of his job, he should have fitted the nogging and back box during the first fix, fast fix boxes are a last resort, cheap or dear ones.
