I have a 12m^2 room which I need to level between 3mm and 13mm. The floor is reinforced concrete with a dpm. There are so many brands and types my brain is hurting. What self levelling compound do people recommend?
I do like fibre reinforced compounds, added strength, etc, not essential though, as to brand hard question, sheds charge a wicked price for it,I've used many brands over the years Ardex,Larsen,Everbuild, Setcrete, all do their job if applied correctly. Use a proper primer on concrete floor, like BAL primer, Setcrete primer or similar, DON'T use pva, the grief you can have with it. http://www.wickes.co.uk/Setcrete-Deep-Base-Floor-Levelling-Compound-20kg/p/133780 http://www.wickes.co.uk/Setcrete-High-Performance-Floor-Levelling-Acrylic-Primer-2-5L/p/154148
And get yourself a spiked roller, helps to move compound around & remove any air bubbles. All leveling compound needs a helping hand to find it's level.
Yes, dilute 1 to 1 with water. But, most SBR can be diluted up to 3 to1, instructions on can will tell you.
