I have this http://cifial.co.uk/black-780th/ which is now 3 years old. Last Thursday it stopped working and tripped the circuit board. Plumber installed a new like-for-like pump (Salamander CT50+XTRA) and got the shower working again. On Saturday morning it failed to work. I left the small head running and tried different temperatures - eventually it started working. Today (Sunday) same thing has happened again. Grateful for any suggestions on what might be causing the problem.
So water does flow from the hand held shower head ? If so ,what exactly is the problem ? Is it that the remote pump will not start up ?
If the original pump tripped the circuit protection in the consumer unit the pump was almost certainly faulty and needed replacing. Now it’s almost certainly a different problem, my first guess would be an airlock in the pipework between the pump and the shower. Try lying the shower handset on the shower tray and see if the shower comes on, if it does leave it running to try and clear any air out of the pipework.
