I'd like to install a shower and shower pump - plan
to plumb from the loft Cold
water storage tank and hw storage tank to the pump
sited in an airing cupboard beside the hot water tank.
Can I then run both the pumped feeds back up into the
loft across the loft floor and down in the bathroom
wall to the valve? This would make for considerably
easier installation for me but could this cause any
problems with the activation of the pump? All pipe
would be 40mm below CW tank level (which is what
the pump instructions state is required)

    Ta much,
    -Neil

Try to site the shower pump on airing cupboard floor or as low as possible below Hot water tank.
Pipework can be run in loft area- just make sure you put a couple of manual air vents at highest point of pipework.

Just put a similar system in. No problems. The air vents are a good precaution but not absolutely necessary. Make sure you use a varix flange or similar for the hot water feed from the hot water tank. The cold water feed take off should be slightly below the existing feed to the hot water tank and fit full bore isolating valves. If your electric supply does not already have RCD protection use an RCD spur. Remember to take the spur from the ring main not from the immersion heater supply.
