Shower Screen Leak

I've just recently moved in to a house and water is leaking under the shower screen, then running under the bath and on to the floor. Water marking is visible on the roof of the room below the bath.

Has the sealant been done incorrectly? What can I do to rectify this?

I've attached some images and drawn in blue where the water appears to be leaking.

Any help is massively appreciated.

Water is getting in between the frame fixed to the wall and the screen assembly inserted into it. As the silicone seal is inside the frame the water has nowhere to go but out of the other side.

I'll bet real money that the fitting instructions said not to seal the inside but to seal the outside so that any water was contained and allowed to run back into the bath and away via the drain.

Sealing the outside of the frame should resolve it but you may need to remove the sealant on the very bottom of the frame on the inside where it sits on the bath.

All of this assumes that the bath was fully sealed to the wall before the frame was fitted.

Thanks for the reply.

will I need to remove the silicon from where the frame joins the wall as well and seal that from the outside instead?

I was planning on removing the bath seal anyway to re seal it, so if I do that, would I be better to remove the frame from the wall, seal the entire bath, including where the frame would sit. Then install the frame and seal that (from the outside)?

Thanks again!

As said, the sealant should be on the outside. The vertical run is ok on the inside, but the base of it should be open. The water is running in to it through the hinge all the way down.
