    Morning all,

Just wondering what people's view are on skimming Artex? We've had a few people out, most of whom want to use standard plaster to skim. However today we had someone who insists the best option is a product made by Artex called Artex Ceiling Finish.

I can't find much about it online other than people selling it. Anyone used it or can offer an opinion versus standard multi finish plaster?

    Many thanks in advance

I've skimmed 100s with multi finish. Important to seal day before as artex can go soft with the sealer then the plaster applied same day, although many do this.
    Bluegrit is good as sealer.
Some use sbr or sbr and pva mix but I've not tried this.
Many use the good quality pva but a coat on day before is safest bet.
Artex used to make something to skim but that was years ago. Not seen it for sale but I'll have a look for it at trade shows next month.
I'd go with Bluegrit as safe then multi finish.
Bluegrit sticks rock hard so cover windows ect
