Hi hoping a roofer can clarify. had some solar panels put on the roof, they appear to have yused expanding foan on the roof where the fixings have gone, I suspect this isn't the correct way to correct damage to a roof and makes it now of non standard construction and uninsurable. Can anyone advise if that is the case and what should have been done ie lead flashing. Thanks
Last year the Care Home opposite had solar panels fitted to the accommodation block, it has 'make believe slates' on the roof. The panel fitters drilled through the 'slates' and screwed the brackets for the panels though the 'slates' into the woodwork. I see leaks ahead.
