Soundproofing floors, ok to add mass to joists?

Hi all, first post here!

This one may be a ridiculous question but I am planning on adding two layers of 12.5mm acoustic plasterboard between the joists, on wood battens to add mass for soundproofing. Below that I’ll add some acoustic roll (with an air gap), I’ll also be putting Greenglue tape on the joists, and will have expanding foam tape around the perimeter of the room (along the sides of the new floorboards).

Anything structural I should worry about as far as adding this weight to the joists? They’re 5cm wide and about 7.5 inches deep. And are separate to the ceiling joists below.

In the real world it's unlikely to be a problem, but the accurate answer is that you would need to consider the timber grade, the spacing of the joists and their span plus the existing loading. (loft floor joists often support part of the structure.
