For your door hinges just use some wd40 spray it onto the hinge and move the door back and forth not too sure about the garage door though

"dont use "plumbers" silicon grease
i fitted a pair of rising butt hinger for my brother we lubricated them with plumers silicon grease and the hinges where juddering and catching all over the place trying to pull the hinges off the door rather than rotate

cleaned the grease off to allow me to de burr smooth or whatever was causing the problem
hung the door to work out where it was binding and it rotated without a problem

Internal doors. Open the door up and rub the hinge joints with pencil. The lead(graphite) 'tis good. Wipe off the excess with a cloth.

Yes she WILL moan. 'Cause it will pick up the iron filings(metal dust) and drip as a black oily substance(unless the hinges are brass of course).

With door fully open rub ball of hinge with candle and the same with door closed. No mess , no stained timber , no prob. Try it. Cheers!

 

I agree with Joesoap, rub a candle on it. They have lots of uses.

cooking oil is an easily avaliable lubricant for squeeky door hinges

 

shaving foam works and it doesn't run down the door like wd40 unlikely to have it in your toolbox though
