I was reading the reviews on the No nonsense sticky expanding foam and this person had left the following review

    By Grumpygaz
" I'm using the foam layed on card in various shapes to form the body for my trike project.
It sets fast, sands well and there is no shrinkage if you let it cure for 24 hours. It keeps its shape even when wetted down with resin so is ideal for the GRP over foam method for just about any diy or hobby project. "

I was wondering if anyone else on here has tried this and could point in the direction of a few website links as I have a similar project and this would be quite useful!!

    Many Thanks

I've seen foam used and sanded then fibre glass over.

Yea, it's quite common. It can be shaped with a saw pretty roughly and then power sanded to get the final shape. Drape a few layers of GRP woven or chop strand fabric over it and you have yourself a homemade something.
