I know Stixall is an adhesive and Silicone is there any reason not to use it to seal round a shower?

I have 2 tubes left and can not be arsed to go to Screwfix to get some bathroom silicone....is there any difference?

  2. I wouldn’t use it, will probably do the job but is it mould and mildew resistant? If not, won’t take long to start going black. Get yourself some dow 785 sanitary sealant

Doesn’t have biocides in it, it’s purely an adhesive. Plumbers gold is stixall plus biocides etc and is intended to sealing as well as sticking.

  4. It’s a sealant as well but like u say no biocides, so no good as a sealant in a bathroom
