Stop button on tap

I am currently converting a van and about to do the plumbing. I bought a tap that extends 1.5m which I am going to use as a shower head. The issue is, I wanted a tap with a stop button but the tap I got has a pause button instead, meaning to stop the flow of water I have to hold down the button and as soon as I let it go of the button, the water will start flowing again. Does anyone know of any method that I could maybe open up the tap and change it to a stop button? Or some kind of contraption I can build that would stop it? I thought about just using an elastic band but that seems like a hassle. This is the tap I bought: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375267337786
Alternatively if theres no way I can change it to a stop button, I could buy a normal tap and screw on a shower head every time I was to use it but just worried about leaks

It has a lever on off. Why do you want/need a button?

I have a hidden shower pan but I am going to be using the tap for the shower. When I am in the shower, I want to be able to stop the water to not waste it when I am washing my hair etc. I don't want to have to get out of the shower to turn it off at the tap

How does the hose connect to the tap head? If ½” either end, you might be able to insert an isolator, or possibly a diverter with one of the outlets capped.

They have similar things in Thailand, chromed brass and saves using a toilet brush. That looks cheap plastic tat to me.
