Not done very much on TT stuff. But got roped in to wiring my brothers summer house. The main house is on a TT. So plan is supply via 10mm SWA to house and connect to a MCB in the exsisting board. My question is about the earth. Was going to earth both ends of the armoured and also fit a new electrode and the summer house end. Whats your thoughts?

Thats how I would do it, although some say you only need to use the main house earth rod. I think 2 rods is better than one.

no real point putting in additional rods the house one will be enough. You said connect to an existing MCB I assume that MCB is backed up by and RCD of some sort?

Best to supply it from its own unit with a time delayed RCD in really so you don't have to run back to the house if something trips.

All done and added the additional rod. Dropped EFL in house from 46 ohms to 25 ohms!
