don't become a supermarket sucker, use local shops, eat fresh, drink in pubs and know your oninons
Tom it would be nice to support the corner shop, but the consumer demands low prices for every day essentials. The supermarkets provide that service, unfortunately the corner shop cannot compete.
I bet you spend more in your supermarket then you do in the Corner shop, as we all do.
tony you are correct, i did't realize this was a sensible thread,
Poundland. A business can actually make money selling everything for a pound. Most astonishing supermarket ever to appear in our streets. Rumours of a 99p land coming in to undercut them. What a pikey lot we are.
Might open a Pound-and-a-penny-Land as an upmarket competitor. But then the penny dropped. Silly ol' me. Who would use it when you can buy stuff up to 2p cheaper elsewhere.
