think my missus got a bit fed up of me butting in

why did he have to use that particular wire from the tv-set and not the cable from a socket (too many amps from socket is my answer)

and touching that meter box outside to prove the point..
were the main fuses not pulled out??
and he was touching the 'consumers' side
