The introduction of Spot lights

    Hi all.

    I have read through this topic as I am thinking of spotlights in a bedroom

    One quick question thought, what are the requirements regarding fiber-glass loft insulation as I am assuming there needs to be some clearance between the light fitting and the insulation??

    I am just getting into DIY so go easy!!

    You need to clear all of the insulation away from around the lights.

    I suggest also that if your loft doesn't have a floor that you fit boards over where the lights are (raised up if necessary, to give the clearance recommended by the maker), to prevent any items in the loft coming into contact with them.
