I’m looking at installing Jackoboard in my new bathroom, the walls are thermalite.
I was thinking to prime with SBR 2 coats
Then use Ardex x7R to attch the boards to the surface followed by installing insulation plugs into drilled holes.
However my concern is these plugs hammer in and will just crumble the thermalite.

Looking for some advice on fixings please.

Just use regular coarse threaded screws or drywall screws with the compatible washers that Jackoboard recommend using. One or two just to hold the boards whilst the adhesive goes off then put more in if you want when it's solid.

    Use plasterboard adhesive and dabs?
