Got myself a WiFi thermostat and thought it would be as easy as one off one on but the new thermostat is not as straightforward.
All its controlling is a 2way motor valve open and close for the downstairs circuit for CH.
    Advise please.

Old stat 1 into new stat 4
Old stat 3 into new stat 2
Old stat 4 into new stat 3.

then on new stat you will need to link live-1 with a piece of wire.
You would also need to leave the programmer ON to supply the stat with power permanently.

@Mike83 wired in as you said works a treat units power up and can be turned off on the unit the programmer doesn't need to be on constant that's turned off so full control is in the two thermasts via unit or app.
Thanks for the swift and perfect answer.
