I’m fitting my own thermostatic shower bar, and wondered where the bar should be fitted?

On the current one, it isn’t centred (shower cubicle is square). Is this how the bars are usually installed? To a slight left of the centre with the shower head in the centre?

    Hope this makes sense. Thanks

Depends on whether it is fixed head or flexi

Sorry should have said, it’s a flexi head

Here’s a pic of the old one. The centre of the wall is actually above the right pipe.

Looking around I guess this is just personal preference. Will probably be easier to leave the plumbing even if its off centre.

Its about 2 inch off centre. Im sure it will look fine ones tiled etc

I always mount the shower bar centrally, and then mount the shower riser rail centrally above it. That said, I only ever use shower mixers where the outlet is in the bottom centre of the bar.
    Personal preference entirely.
