Food. Food and Drink really cheers me up. Any hot meal after being on a roof all day freezing to death, a spicy curry in a nice Indian restaurant, coffee in the morning to start my brain, spaghetti carbonara, steak and chips, Wolf Blass Cabernet Sauvignon, Henricks gin and tonic with cucumber, chorizo, banoffi pie, clotted cream with whisky/brandy, cappuccino with a shot of cointreau, bacon butties, roast garlic and rosemary potatoes........., arrrrgh make it stop, make it stop, my fridge is empty and now I'm really uncheery. :( :)

Impossible for me to choose bud, every day I'd pick something different. King prawn linguine with chilli, garlic and lemon juice would be today's choice, sod Sunday lunch :)

If you're going to have a well done fillet steak you may as well have brown sauce on it...

You're losing the plot again, which does cheer me. Your apoplexy is most amusing :p:p

You've already lost the plot, WTF are you on about.???

Why would you think I'm having a Stroke. ???

You're nearly as sick in the head as DA.

Isit, take a step back, pause, take a few deep breaths and....................relax, it's not worth a ban.

    You're right though.

More independent thought from the u/s there, I wonder where Jack, DA and B2 are, who cares, we don't act as a pack :p:p

Well, Jack's in Belgium, DA no longer posts late evenings because the drink tips his posts over the edge and he doesn't want another banning and btiw only now posts occasionally because he finds various people tedious and predictable.

Anyway, as much as you appear to be spoiling for a fight big boy, I'm orf to bed. Night night.

Son in law did a challenge at one pub/ restaurant we went to. It was a 32oz steak, complete with chips, onion rings, mushrooms, peas, tomatoes and a salad. Had to eat it all, within half an hour of delivery to the table. He managed it (just) in the allotted time, but was quite poorly for a few days afterwards.
Older brother went “ Stateside” on a work thing. While there, the Yanks took him out to a steakhouse. The minimum weight of steak was 40oz.:eek:

I stopped buying the Mail on Sunday because I was paying for silly magazines that have no interest for me, the paper itself had lots of pages of yesterdays football reports that don't have any interest either. In the end there was only a few pages of worthwhile reading. I read the Sunday Telegraph now but it's a broadsheet and a bit inconvenient.

Things that make me smile: A lovely sunny morning after a long winter of grey skies and rain. A trip to a country pub in my vintage car for a nice lunch. Selling some of my share portfolio just before the recent fall and buying back just as they started to rise, more by luck than skill. My 3 year old granddaughter running to me with her arms wide wanting a cuddle and shouting grandpa. Walking my dog on a cold crisp morning and returning home for a strong fresh coffee and a warm croissant. Finding my mower starts OK after standing since October.

  20. He simply doesn't understand, or try to.

    Noticing that, again, cheers me.
