Got new sink, hole cut in worktop, and sink on two workmates so I can easily fit the wastes...
Turn round to pick wastes up from the surface behind me, and catch the edge of the sink with a flapping belt loop on my shorts...

Here's the result of gravity and the hard floor!

And to rub salt in... I got the sink at a discount as old, ex display stock, complete with wastes, for £50.
    Replacement cost me £240 !

Then, to really rub the salt in hard my pal rings up about 30 seconds later and says, "How you getting on with the sink... got it installed yet?"

It was a few days ago and I'm over it now!

Them 3/4 Bowls will never catch on. :D:D:D

I'd have taken it back and told them it was cracked and broke on installation. ;);)

It crossed my mind... but that would have been dishonest!

Oh, and I forgot to mention...
Another £5 for a hole saw to cut the hole for the tap. That resin just eat up the first one!

    Stixall ?? :D

Maybe, but even that has its limitations

That blue workmate is well old, I think the original colour model. I’ve got a blue one I rescued (pinched) from the tip and a newer one as well, handy having 2

I have and use an original model from the 1970's made in zinc/alloy and a mk2 blue steel model from the very early 1980's.

    The floor is fine!

I bought that workmate, in Belfast, in 1984 as something to use to rebuild the engine of my 1963 Hillman Minx... the big ends went on a journey back from Newry.
It's now on it's 2nd set of plywood vice tops.

My other one was my dad's... a black one, circa late 80's early 90's... still on it's original tops, (just!!)

My workmate is about 40 years old and blue, when I bought it it was top of the range, I was thinking of skipping it recently as all the plastic bits that hold the legs out had snapped, when I looked at the new workmates they weren’t a patch on mine, so I sourced the plastic thingy’s on the net for a few quid, it’s now as good as new.
