Loz , the worst thing about this conversation is that you really can't take in what people are trying to say to ya . How do you think swimming pools are constructed mate ?? They are are all built with a liner eg: fibreglass resin , polythene or whatever , and why ??? because if they did'nt line the swimming pool would leak !!!! the water STILL gets through the grout/adhesive to some degree but because it is what is loosely termed as "waterproof" it means it does'nt break down or deteriorate with the ingress of water like ordinary grout/adhesive will !!!!!
