I decided not to go for a bike ride today, and instead my brother and I worked with a climber to pollard two willows for my Mum. Rewarded with a bacon sandwich, this has been a successful Saturday.

  2. By 'pollard', do you mean to 'cut down'?

indeed, a poor wood. as its free i willleave it in the field for a year or so and use it up. what i didnt know about willow is that  its better left in whole logs for the seasoning period. thats a job saved for now. also, only really of use in a wood burner beause of spitting, haha, wood with attitude
