My half sheet sander died and needs replacing. I used it for cleaning up joinery on site, for example planed door edges, filled nail holes on shelves, sometimes worktop joints. Thinking about either the Makita palm sander or 125mm orbital. Portability is really important, as I seem to get jobs with lots of stairs.
I'm only a DIYer, but I needed a small sander when decorating my hall & landing (including hanging new doors). My old DIY sander also blew-up,so I bought a Metabo "Tri Base" sander from *m*nstr.
