Well, he tested his (newly installed) CU with an oscilloscope, a resistor and a few bits of string (bless him), an argument ensued on how he could meet BS7671 tests, in particular Ze..

His testing of the RCD trip times, was most unusual..

Unfortunately BAS didn't like what happened in the thread, it was then removed/archived..

Although it may have been removed on the grounds of safety..;-)

But, AFAIR, based on a complete understanding of how RCDs work, and how they should respond, and a method which would have worked just fine (ignoring, also, issues of resistor and 'scope calibration)
