I'm replacing a couple of latches.

SF quote the plate to hole measurement. Is that to the centre of the hole or the edge?

    Ta.

  2. The backset, which is the proper term, is from front of latch to middle of the hole.

Should be the centre I.e. a 65mm tubular latch will have a backset of 45mm, this will be from the plate to centre of the hole.

Being really pedantic, but there are 43mm and 45mm sizes, is that to the face of the plate or the back?
